Stefan Przygrodzki, 88, of Montoursville, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at UPMC Williamsport.
He was the beloved husband of Ewa Stanislawa (Zukowska) Przygrodzki with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Born May 27, 1937 in Kołomyja, Poland, Stefan was the son of the late Józef and Anna (Berezowska) Przygrodzki.
Immigrating to the United States in 1965, he exemplified the American Dream, arriving with little and building a life through hard work and determination.
Stefan got a job at Circle F Wire Factory in Trenton, NJ where he excelled before transferring to Komar and later to General Cable Company. He spent the remainder of his professional career with General Cable as an Engineer, working for ten years in Manchester, NH before moving to Montoursville, where he retired in 2002.
Family was the heart of his life and he delighted in being involved in every moment as a cherished Tato and Dziadziuś. He was also an avid gardener with a true green thumb.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Przygrodzki is survived by his sons, Józef S. Przygrodzki (Loire Temos) of Gaithersburg, MD and Robert L. Przygrodzki (Dwight Sims) of Chicago, Ill; and granddaughters, Sofia and Cecelia Przygrodzki.
He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Henryk and Michal Przygrodzki; and three sisters, Anna Gres, Rozalia Ilnicki, and Helena Piotrowiak.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Stefan will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1305 Northway Road, Williamsport.
An evening visitation will take place on Monday, March 9th from 5 to 7 PM at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
Interment will be held privately for the family.
